Wicoie Nandagikendan Early Childhood Urban Immersion Project is a 3-hour-a-day preschool. it helps build integral connections between education, culture, and literacy. The program has been going since January 2006 through a grant from ANA. The children are the future of Native languages, and its crucial for them to know and understand the language at a young age to keep the language alive for both Ojibwe and Dakota.
